RGE Sul proposes tariff review of 9,49% for residential consumers

The company's new rates will come into effect from June 19th

A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) will hold a public hearing next Thursday (4) to debaters the proposal to tariff review periodic of RGE South.

RGE Sul serves around 3,1 million consumer units in 381 municipalities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The new tariffs came into force from June 19, 2023 and contributions can be sent until May 4 to following emails:

  • cp009_2023rv@aneel.gov.br;
  • cp009_2023et@aneel.gov.br;
  • cp009_2023pt@aneel.gov.br;
  • cp009_2023ic@aneel.gov.br.

The hearing will be chaired by Hélvio Guerra, director of Aneel and will take place at the Hotel Klein Ville, located at Rua Brasil, 720, in the center of the Rio Grande do Sul municipality of São Leopoldo, and will begin at 14pm. In-person accreditation of participants will begin at 13:30 pm. 

The definition of the corresponding limits of the continuity indicators of Equivalent Duration of Interruption per Consumer Unit (DEC) and Equivalent Frequency of Interruption per Consumer Unit (FEC) of the company, for the period from 2024 to 2028, will also be discussed.
