The Brazilian fitness market is experiencing its historic peak. According to data from ABRACEO (Brazilian Association of Street Race and Outdoor Sports Organizers), the number of official races in the country skyrocketed by 85% in 2025, reaching a record 5.241 events.

This phenomenon is driven by more than 15 million practitioners who, according to the Strava platform, have transformed running into one of the most popular sports in Brazil in recent years.

This "wellness wave" has broken through the boundaries of gyms and reached the corporate world. In the solar energy sector, one of the companies that decided to invest in this type of initiative was EvoSolar Espera Feliz as a marketing strategy and way to connect with the public.

The company is organizing a race to be included in the sports calendar of Espera Feliz (MG). The first edition is scheduled for 8 am on May 31, 2026, with a 5 km course.

The event is not limited to the race: with 27 confirmed sponsors, it will feature a structure comprising stands, breakfast, and cash prizes, as well as trophies and medals.

Fabiana Barbosa, the company's owner, explains that the idea for the event came from her experience as a runner. “We sought to implement an initiative that would be positive for the city and the local community. It’s a race that will be a highlight on Espera Feliz’s calendar, attracting attention from outside the region,” he emphasizes.

According to her, the expectation is that the event will bring together 300 participants of all ages and contribute to boosting local commerce and tourism, as well as reinforcing the presence of solar energy in the daily lives of the population through community outreach initiatives.

More information about the event and registration can be found here. link.
