In a note, the The government of São Paulo reported that the causes and possible responsibilities for the blackout will be investigated from ARSESP (Regulatory Agency for Public Services of the State of São Paulo) for the necessary measures with Enel-SP.

Furthermore, the Procon-SP informed that it will also notify the dealership so that the company can provide explanations for the delay in restoring electricity in the region.

Already Public Prosecutor's Office for Public and Social Assets of the Capital, said this Saturday (12), that will include the blackout in the investigation that investigates possible irregularities in the service provided by Enel-SP, as this is not the first time that consumers in Greater São Paulo have been left without supplies for a long period of time.

As reported by Canal Solar, the regulatory agency understood that the distributor breached the concession contract for the São Paulo electricity grid by not guaranteeing energy to residents affected by the storm that hit the city.

At the time, an estimate of ACSP (São Paulo Commercial Association) pointed out that only the trade of The Metropolitan Region of São Paulo would have failed to collect up to R$126 million due to the lack of energy.
