Sunova Solar has announced the launch of composite solar modules, an innovative alternative to traditional aluminum. In addition to offering high corrosion resistance and withstanding extreme weather conditions, the new solution reduces carbon emissions by up to 80%.

Designed to deliver superior mechanical strength and long-term reliability, the panel provides EPCs, developers and investors with a smarter, more resilient solution that simplifies installation by not requiring grounding.

According to company, composite structure modules use advanced materials, including fiberglass, polyurethane and anti-UV coatings – which offer greater strength and durability.

Unlike conventional aluminum structures, which are susceptible to corrosion and degradation in harsh environments, Sunova's composite structures are designed to withstand salt spray, extreme weather conditions and high mechanical loads, making them ideal for installations in coastal, industrial and high humidity regions.

Below are the main advantages of panels with a composite structure:

  • Superior durability: withstand wind loads of up to 3000 Pa and snow loads of up to 7000 Pa, ensuring long-term stability;
  • Corrosion and chemical resistance: no rust, even in offshore and high salinity environments;
  • Improved energy efficiency: reduces potential-induced degradation (PID), maximizing long-term efficiency;
  • Easier and less complex installation: simplifies handling as it does not require grounding, leading to lower system costs;
  • Eco-friendly innovation: 80% less CO₂ emissions compared to aluminum frames;

“Our new composite structure modules represent a major advancement in photovoltaic technology,” said Andrea Bodenhagen, Global Branding Director at Sunova Solar.

“By combining mechanical strength, long-term reliability and environmental sustainability, we are offering a next-generation solution for EPCs, developers and investors looking to build resilient, high-performance solar projects,” he concluded.
