Gustavo Tegon, an executive with experience in manufacturers, distributors and integrating companies in the solar sector, has just taken on a stake in Canal Solar. The arrival of the new partner aims to strengthen the company's performance as a platform for content, education and business focused on renewable energy and electromobility.

With a focus on professional qualification and expanding connections between the various links in the chain, Tegon should contribute to the expansion of the ecosystem Canal Solar at a time of market maturity and greater demand for technical specialization and strategic management.

What is the main objective of your arrival in the group? Canal Solar?

The main purpose of my arrival at Canal Solar is to contribute strategically to consolidating and expanding the brand's impact as a reference in the renewable energy sector.

O Canal Solar is already recognized as a highly relevant information vehicle, but I believe we can go further. We want to increasingly strengthen our business ecosystem – made up of companies, professionals and partners – by creating connections that generate concrete opportunities.

Few people realize how active we are in generating business, bringing players together and forming partnerships. My goal is for the market to start seeing the Canal Solar not only as a content platform, but as a hub for relationships, education and business that transforms the sector.

Today the Canal Solar is positioning itself as a business hub for the energy sector, with education as one of its pillars. How will your work boost this segment?

The education market in the energy sector is going through a decisive moment. There is a huge base of professionals who need not only technical training, but also management, sales and strategy skills – everything that supports the growth of a company.

Our biggest challenge is to accelerate this specialized knowledge, because we are in a sector that is still young and constantly changing. Information circulates very quickly, and professionals need to update themselves at the same speed.

For example, topics such as energy storage and courses on batteries, which until recently were not a priority, are now practically mandatory for anyone who wants to remain competitive.

At the same time, we see a unique opportunity to create programs that raise the level of maturity and professionalism of the companies that are with us – and those that will join us in the coming years.

The solar industry chain has been facing challenges. What is your analysis of the current situation?

Whenever macroeconomic challenges or regulatory changes arise, it is natural for many to say that the market is bad. But, in practice, it is in these cycles that the most prepared companies consolidate themselves.

The solar energy sector has grown very rapidly in recent years, at a pace that few could have imagined. We have now reached a phase of maturity and consolidation.

Market players need to understand that this is the time to professionalize their operations. Either you strengthen and structure yourself, or you will have a hard time remaining competitive.

Business will continue to happen because energy is essential in any scenario. Consumption will not end – only the way of consuming and positioning ourselves in the market will change. Those who prepare best will lead this new phase.

Your trajectory has passed through different links in the chain. How will this contribute to the Canal Solar?

My career has always been focused on business expansion. I started at Órigo, selling directly to end customers. Then, I worked for a manufacturer, interacting with project developers and distributors. Later, I had my own distributor and, later, I worked for a market-leading distributor.

This experience gave me a broad view of the pains and needs of each end of the chain – from the end customer to the integrator, from the distributor to the manufacturer.

When you understand this diversity of perspectives, you can create stronger and more strategic connections. This will be one of my main contributions: using this repertoire to bring companies together, connect professionals and create bridges where there are gaps today.

I want to help the sector migrate from a scenario still marked by low training to a more structured, professional and collaborative environment, where everyone – at any stage of the chain – benefits from this advancement.

I strongly believe that this combination of practical experience and strategic vision will further strengthen the ecosystem of Canal Solar and drive the development of the market as a whole.
