Tongwei Solar Energy R&D Center announced that after TÜV certification, its TOPCon TNC-G12 66 module has achieved a power output of 763,4W and a conversion efficiency of 24,58%.
The TNC-G12R 66 panel also set a new record, reaching 663,5 W and 24,56% efficiency. The company said its PECVD technology was key to these advances.
presented in Progress in Photovoltaics (PIP) in 2023, this technology now holds a 56% global share of TOPCon cell production.
In 2024, Tongwei's high-efficiency N-Type TOPCon solar cell was recognized as a First Set of Major Technical Equipment in Sichuan, marking a significant achievement for photovoltaic technology in the region.
“Our innovations, including tube-based PECVD, Poly Finger, EPT and ultra-fine printing, have significantly improved the power and efficiency of the panels. These advancements highlight our commitment to cutting-edge R&D and high-performance products,” the manufacturer highlighted.
“We are committed to advancing renewable energy. Our continued research and development efforts in technologies such as TOPCon, HJT, BC and perovskite/silicon tandem cells and modules will further propel the industry towards a green and sustainable future,” they concluded.
