In a statement released to the market this Friday (28), TSUN Power announced that the registration of its 570W bifacial photovoltaic module was reactivated by Inmetro (National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology) and that the product is now once again available for sale throughout Brazil.

Check out the company's note below:

We inform all our partners that the registration of the 570W bifacial module has been reactivated and that the product is once again available for sale throughout the national territory.

The temporary suspension of the registration of the 570W bifacial module, under number 016452/2024, occurred in the last few days, without us having received any prior notification from the responsible regulatory body.

In view of this fact, we have repeatedly sought clarification, requesting the presentation of the administrative process regarding the suspension. However, to date, we have not received any official statement on the matter.

We would like to point out that we are still unaware of the reasons that led to the temporary suspension of the registration. The decision came as a surprise to us, especially because there was no notification about the collection for testing, nor did we receive any report indicating irregularities.

We are still waiting for further clarification from the responsible regulatory body. We reaffirm our commitment to transparency and the quality of our products and services.

What does Inmetro say?

Sought by the report of the Canal Solar, Inmetro, through Dconf (Conformity Assessment Directorate), clarified that “only one of TSUN Power’s registrations was reactivated”.

The agency explained that this occurred because this registration does not belong to the same family as the two models that were previously analyzed. “The reactivation was possible because it is a different technology, which was not the subject of tests carried out in a laboratory accredited by Inmetro for the other models.”
