TTS Energia, a solar power plant engineering and construction company in Brazil, has just signed a contract worth R$17 million with Minum/Genco, a company specializing in the management and operation of photovoltaic projects, for the construction of two solar power plants in the interior of the state of Pará.

The two generating plants have a combined installed capacity of 7,5 MW, enough to supply approximately 1,5 consumer units. The units are located in the cities of Moju (5 MW) and Paragominas (2,5 MW) and will serve consumers in Pará under a shared generation model.

This system allows consumers to purchase shares, through a consortium or cooperative, in a remote power plant connected to the same concession area as the local electricity distributor. Construction is scheduled for completion in November 2025 (Moju) and January 2026 (Paragominas).

The estimated average savings for consumers served by the plants ranges from 12% to 20%. Scheduled to begin operations this month, the Moju plant will consist of 10,8 photovoltaic modules installed on the ground with a tracker structure. In Paragominas, the project will have 5,4 modules, and construction is expected to begin in July of this year.

TTS Energia was contracted under the Partial EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) modality, being responsible for engineering services, partial supplies and execution of civil and electromechanical works for the two solar plants.

For Jacques Hulshof, CEO of TTS Energia, in addition to bringing clean, competitive, and sustainable energy to consumers in Pará, the project represents an important initiative to decarbonize the Brazilian Amazon region, which is still heavily dependent on diesel for its electricity supply.

“The new contract also consolidates our leading position in the construction of solar plants for large operations, including in the North region of the country,” said the executive.
