A Win Solar, a distributor of photovoltaic equipment belonging to the All Nations Group, has just expanded its commercial partnership with the Chinese manufacturer Hoymilles to intensify the commercialization of microinverter technology in solar energy projects in Brazil.
The new agreement provides for a purchase schedule for 100 MW of microinverters in the coming months, which represents the largest single-amount order plan for Hoymilles in Brazil.
Last month, Win Solar signed the first acquisition of 10% of the total planned purchases and should receive the MW in equipment by October this year, complementing the current stock and shipments that are already in the process of arriving in Brazil.
According to the distributor, the big difference offered by the MLPE technology of microinverters is safety, since they work module by module. The voltage generated in the equipment is low, respecting the necessary safety levels.
Second Camila Nascimento, director of Win, one of the most discussed topics in Brazil today is the AFCI (Arc-fault circuit interrupter), an optional technology for the microinverter, which is composed of electric arc interruption devices, which are recommended for use by the standard NBR 16.690.
Yes, Leo Zhu, Director of LATAM Sales at Hoymiles, highlights that the Brazilian market already represents 20% of the brand's business worldwide. “In 2021, the organization debuted on the Shanghai stock exchange, in addition to being ranked as the second global technology provider, according to consultancy IHS Markit,” he stated.
Also according to the manufacturer, the company continues to invest in both structure and technology. In total, US$163 million was invested in a new office, US$237 million in a new factory and hiring staff. And with a focus on expanding the technical support team in Brazil by 2022, the team has increased even further.
In terms of technology, this year there will be the launch of the hybrid microinverter, a micro inverter with integrated Wi-Fi eliminating the need for DTU, the Hoymiles HT10 transmitter, a rapid shutdown and as a future plan the implementation of optimizers.
“Therefore, this new agreement represents a significant advance in the offering of high-technology products that guarantee reliability, safety and comfort to consumers”, adds Camila.
Results in the semester
In the national market, Win Solar recorded 108% growth in revenue in the first half of this year compared to the same period in the previous year.
The company expects to triple the sales volume by the end of the year compared to the result of 2021 and reach an amount of 300 MW in photovoltaic equipment sold in the country. “Own solar energy generation will continue to grow at a rapid pace and should practically double its installed operational power”, comments the commercial director of Win Solar.
