2C Energia, the result of a strategic partnership between CZ (Czarnikow) and CMAA, companies operating in the sugar, ethanol and energy market, will inaugurate its first solar plant on June 25, in Brazlândia (DF).
The complex, with an installed capacity of 2,7 MW, will be able to serve around 4 thousand people in the Federal District region. “By inaugurating our first plant, we reaffirm the mission of accelerating the energy transition in Brazil through operational excellence, investments in cutting-edge technology and a strong commitment to sustainability,” said Tiago Medeiros, director of CZ.
In total, 2C Energia already has eight plants under construction in several states and two in greenfield development, totaling 400 MW of capacity. Around 40 MW will be directed to distributed generation.
Two other complexes, in addition to the Brazlândia unit, are expected to come into operation in June, in São Paulo and Mato Grosso. The Tupi Paulista complex (SP) will have an installed capacity of 6,8 MW. In Mato Grosso, the Araputanga plant will be inaugurated, with a capacity of 3,4 MW.
“2C has come to bring even more innovation to the power generation sector, delivering excellence in all our projects and reinforcing the trust of our shareholders. We seek solid, long-term partnerships with large companies, such as WEG, our engineering and equipment supplier. In addition, the plants will be leased under long-term contracts with Triple A companies,” highlighted Gabriela Andri, head of Energy at CZ and director of 2C Energia.
Other projects
In Maranhão, 2C Energia is leading the construction of a 350 MW solar complex. The plant will supply energy for the production of green hydrogen, which will be used in the manufacture of biofertilizers in Matopiba (a region formed by Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia), considered the new Brazilian agricultural frontier.
The company is also implementing solar plants in Pará, Piauí, Goiás and Minas Gerais. “At 2C Energia, we invest in technologies – such as smart sensors, AI algorithms and IoT – that position our plants among the most modern in the country. In addition, we seek partnerships with third parties that increasingly seek to modernize, automate and digitize processes. These solutions increase efficiency, reduce costs and operational risks, ensuring greater predictability and safety in the generation of clean energy”, reported Clarissa Petrachini Gonçalves, Energy Manager at CZ.
Technologies used
In all units, 2C Energia adopts cutting-edge technologies that boost the efficiency and operational intelligence of the plants. The plants have IoT sensors and advanced monitoring software, which allow predictive analysis and automated responses to possible failures, in addition to artificial intelligence algorithms for generation forecasting and operation optimization.
Some projects also include integration using digital twins, which allows for the simulation of operational scenarios and the improvement of strategic decisions in real time. Advanced monitoring systems are also used to enable early identification of failures and the continuous optimization of energy production.
