A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) approved, this Tuesday (20), new tariff rates for consumers served by Equatorial Goiás and Neoenergia Brasília. The changes come into effect on Thursday (22) and will have different impacts on the electricity bills of the two markets.

In Goiás, residential consumers will see a 7,36% increase, while in the Federal District, the increase will be 1,11% for the same category.

The decisions were made during a meeting of the regulatory agency's board of directors and involve approximately 4,87 million consumer units served by the two distributors.

The annual tariff adjustment for 2026 by Equatorial Goiás is expected to have an average effect of 7,25% for the distributor's consumers, which serves approximately 3,67 million consumer units in the state.

For customers connected to low voltage, the average increase will be 7,26%. High-voltage consumers will see an average adjustment of 7,22%.

Among the main factors that influenced the indices are the costs of distribution, transportation and acquisition of energy, in addition to sector charges and financial components considered in the tariff calculation.

In the Federal District, the ANEEL approved the provisional result of the 2026 periodic tariff review for Neoenergia Brasília.

The average effect will be 1,92%, with differences between consumption classes. For low-voltage consumers, the average adjustment will be 1,06%, while high-voltage customers will have an average increase of 4,27%.

According to the agency, the main factors considered in the review were the costs of acquiring, distributing, and transmitting energy, as well as sector-specific charges.

Unlike the process carried out in Goiás, the tariff review for Neoenergia Brasília will not have a definitive outcome yet.

A ANEEL The agency reported that it identified inconsistencies in the distributor's market data related to the implementation of a new commercial system. The information remains under review by the agency, which will release the final results after completing its analysis.

The approved indices also took into account the contributions received during Public Consultation No. 24/2026, held between July 30 and September 14.
