The Equatorial Energia group reported that an electricity transmission project began commercial operation this month, almost two years ahead of schedule. With the completion of the project, the company will have annual revenue of R$86,5 million from the operation and maintenance of the facilities.
The company signed a contract for the Equatorial Transmissora SPE 1 project in February 2017, after winning the concession at an auction held by the federal government and the ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).
According to the company, the project involved the construction of 251 km of lines in Bahia. In total, the budget was R$496 million.
