A Fortaleza City Hall (CE) announced the opening of the Public Consultation regarding the public-private partnership process, in the form of administrative concession, for the implementation, management, operation and maintenance of distributed energy generation, as well as for energy efficiency in UBS buildings (Basic Health Units) of the municipality.

As Contributions will be accepted until December 7th and can be sent to the email: parcerias@sde.fortaleza.ce.gov.br, along with the author's identification (full name, CPF, address, email and signature). Click here to access the official document.

According to a Rodrigo Nogueira, secretary of economic development, in addition to generating clean energy, the project will also involve cost reduction in the electricity bill.

“The initiative is aimed at health equipment, but could be expanded to other public buildings. It is worth mentioning that this model is innovative, combining energy efficiency with solar energy generation, through public-private partnership”, he emphasizes.

According to the city hall, the estimated savings are approximately R$62 million, throughout the concession period.

The expectation is to improve the management of energy consumption in SMS (Municipal Health Department) units with the implementation of the monitoring system and actions to reduce consumption.

In total, the discount will be approximately 44,77%, throughout the entire concession period. The estimate is a reduction of 5,67% in the total energy consumption of the units.
