How does Caixa's solar energy credit line work?

Main questions about the financing line for purchasing kits and installation services

Caixa Energia Renovável Personal Credit for individuals to finance solar energy systems is now available.

The credit line makes it possible to finance residential photovoltaic kits, in addition to installation costs with rates starting at 1,18% per month.

According to Caixa Econômica Federal, financing can be up to 100% of the project, limited to the client's financial capacity. The minimum loan amount is R$5 and the maximum is R$120.

The disbursement for payment of the equipment will be made directly to the Caixa client supplier. The term is up to 60 months, with a grace period of up to 6 months for the first installment to become due.

O Canal Solar found out from Caixa Econômica Federal the main doubts regarding Caixa's credit line. Check it out.

Can anyone take out Caixa Energia Renovável Personal Credit?

To take out the financing line, you must be a Caixa account holder and not have any loans in arrears with the bank. To release the credit, a credit analysis will be carried out.

How to contract a line of credit?

Just go to one Caixa branch or contact us via WhatsApp from Caixa. The bank will request the following documents: identity document, proof of residence, proof of income, invoice from the supplier of the equipment and/or installation of the photovoltaic electricity generation system.

After credit analysis and approval, the money is credited directly to the supplier's account. Highlighting that the supplier must also have an account with Caixa.

Can I finance just the equipment installation service?

Yes, as long as the cost of the equipment installation service is on the invoice presented to Caixa. It is important to highlight that each contract allows presentation of only one invoice, which may refer to the acquisition of equipment, equipment installation service or both.

When does the money fall into the equipment supplier's account?

The credit is made to the supplier's account after checking the documents and the transaction invoice. If the documentation is not accepted, your manager will contact you for guidance.

What is the payment method for installments?

Installments are automatically debited on the current account due date.

My installment was late, how do I pay?

You can contact Caixa through the Caixa service channels and website, or go to a preferred branch.

What happens if I don't pay the installment?

In case of delay, it is possible to negotiate other forms of payment to avoid future charges, as, with unpaid debts, you will have difficulty obtaining a new loan, will be charged and may even have your name negative with credit protection agencies.

If there is no payment, the debt increases over time and the chances of regularizing it become more difficult.

Can I advance the installments or pay off the loan before the deadline?

Yes. To do this, you need to go to a Caixa branch to find out the procedures and advantages of early payment of installments or full credit.

I applied for a loan and I didn't install the equipment, can I give up?

No. As payment will be made directly to the supplier into your account, after the credit, there is no cancellation of the credit.

For more information, visit the website of Caixa, contact the Customer Service Center (4004 0104 for capitals and metropolitan regions and 0800 104 0104 for other regions) or visit one of the Caixa branches.

    Question:
What financial resource will Caixa use for photovoltaic loans?

  • Edgilson Leite

It is possible to use the FGTS.

…damn! Interest of 1.18% per month?
This is what is popularly called… “taking the skin off Brazilians”. The citizen is doing the government a favor and in return the PUBLIC bank takes the piss out of him.

The problem is the fee they will charge users of photovoltaic energy. Today it is a small fee, but as everyone knows, politicians will increase this fee to collect revenue and this will soon become unfeasible.
It's not worth the investment, it's throwing money away.
Look at the case of vehicle gas, today it's not worth it. So it will be with energy. Brazil is not for amateurs, my friends!

I have already financed prior to this release, can I pay it off using this CEF credit?

It may be that from the month of February onwards this rate will be 1,18% per month... because I went to the bank on January 25th and spoke about the matter and they charged me a rate of 2,14 per month... Much higher which private banks that I budgeted for myself…. But with this news, if it is true, I will speak to my manager again. Well, I haven't closed the deal yet.

    Excellent Article Ericka Araújo.
Thank you Canal Solar for the initiative.

Caixa requires that the supplier be a current account holder, however, sometimes it involves incredible bureaucracy to open a legal entity account, charging fees, and wanting to include insurance services, etc., generating a monthly expense for the supplier.

  • Patrícia Simone de Moraes Lucietto

You had to be able to use part or all of the FGTS balance. This way, many people could benefit.

  • ELMO ALFONSO BACKES

    What is the interest rate?
    What is the total term?
    Are they in need?

Great initiative from Caixa Econômica Federal, I have already scheduled a meeting with the agency manager. As an integrator, I am another credit option for our customers.

  • Claudio Marques Weber

How will you get the invoice for the photovoltaic kit or installation if you haven't done it and haven't paid for the service yet? Things that happen to people in positions of trust without any preparation.
