A lemon energy entered into a partnership to manage eight solar farms in the Navi Energias Sustentáveis (NES). The plants are already under construction in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Goiás, totaling 41 MWp of installed capacity, equivalent to the consumption of 42 thousand homes.

Lemon bridges the gap between renewable plants and small businesses that want to save on their electricity bills. Customers receive a discount on their energy tariff without having to install solar panels. The operation works like renting a part of the plant, a modality known as shared generation. According to Lemon, customers who subscribe to the service receive discounts of 10% to 20% per month on their electricity bill.

With the operation, Lemon debuts a new operating location, Goiás, and reinforces its operations in three distributors in which it already operates – CPFL Paulista and Elektro (São Paulo) and Light (Rio de Janeiro). The agreement has the potential to double the number of end customers using Lemon's service, which currently totals more than 4. At the same time, it allows Navi to manage the energy credits that will be produced at the plants.

“This agreement is a great opportunity for Lemon to expand its presence in the solar energy market and increase the offering of sustainable energy solutions to our customers. NES is a strategic partner and we believe that this collaboration will be very beneficial for both companies”, says Rafael Vignoli, CEO and founder of Lemon Energia.

Created in 2019, the startup is present in Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso do Sul, Distrito Federal and, now, Goiás.
