With an initial investment of R$43,8 million, Amep (Paraná Metropolitan Affairs Agency) published last Monday (21) the bidding notice for the construction of the new Londrina Metropolitan Terminal. The opening of the proposals is scheduled for October 15, 2025.

According to the governor of Paraná, Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior, the terminal will be a modern and sustainable structure, with leisure spaces, a multi-sport court, an outdoor gym, snack bars, kiosks, shops, bicycle racks, a children's playground and an exhibition area.

"This demand has existed for decades. The public requested a terminal capable of serving both people coming from the Londrina metropolitan area and Londrina workers working for companies in the same region," said Ratinho.

The project's land area covers 12.043,70 square meters, of which 9.331,92 square meters will be occupied by buildings. The project must be completed within 22 months of the service order being issued. The contract will be an integrated contract, meaning the winning company will be responsible for both the executive design and construction.

One of the project's highlights is the installation of a solar photovoltaic plant on site. The system will feature 580 565-watt modules, totaling an installed capacity of 327,7 kWp. The plant will occupy an estimated area of 1.877,75 square meters and is expected to generate an average of 470.828,64 kWh per year, based on historical solar irradiation data.

The projected investment in the plant is R$1.999.146,06, with an estimated return on investment of six years and four months. Over 20 years, savings could reach R$15,36 million. In addition to cost reductions, the implementation of the photovoltaic system will also bring environmental benefits: an estimated reduction of 133,32 tons of CO₂ released into the atmosphere over this period.
