PL 5829/19 (Bill No. 5829/2019) will be voted on in a single discussion today starting at 9:30 am. The agenda with day order was published in the Chamber of Deputies. The proposal that creates the Legal Framework for GD will be discussed in a single round. This means that, according to the Internal Regulations of the Chamber of Deputies, the PL will be voted on only once, requiring only a simple majority quorum for its approval.

“May 2021, 5829, historic date for solar energy in Brazil. PL XNUMX, the solar energy law, will be voted on. I want to thank the support of deputy Beto Pereira, who has been defending solar energy since the beginning, deputy Lafayette de Andrada and deputy Evandro Roman”, said Hewerton Martins, president of the MSL (Movimento Solar Livre) in a video published on the association's social networks. .

“Today is a very important day for the sector. Bill 5829 has been included in the Plenary’s voting agenda and we are doing everything we can to ensure it is voted on today,” said lawyer Bárbara Rubim, vice president of Distributed Generation at ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy) in a video posted on the entity's social networks.

O Canal Solar will provide live coverage of the discussion and vote on the new substitute text. To check out the changes proposed by Deputy Lafayette, click here here.
