ABGD (Brazilian Distributed Generation Association) announced the transfer of its headquarters from São Paulo (SP) to Brasília (DF), a decision approved during a meeting of the entity's Board.
The change is part of a strategic plan by the association to strengthen its institutional role with the bodies and entities responsible for policies in the electricity sector and for distributed energy resources.
According to president of ABGDLuiz Fernando Vianna, the presence in the federal capital will allow for broader dialogue with stakeholders involved in the formulation and regulation of energy policies, such as ministers, members of parliament, and senators.
"This change reinforces ABGD's commitment to closely monitoring decisions that impact the sector and actively collaborating to advance distributed generation in the country," he stated.
The organization's advisor and former federal deputy, Christino Áureo, also highlighted that proximity to the center of decision-making should expand the association's capacity for articulation, "strengthening ABGD's capacity for articulation and expanding its contribution to the sector's development," he said.
