Kroma Energia, a company from Pernambuco with a strong presence in Northeast, laid the cornerstone of the Arapuá Solar Complex, its largest solar energy generation park to date. The project will be implemented in the city of Jaguaruana, in the Jaguaribe Valley, in the interior of Ceará.
The park will have an installed capacity of 250 MWp and an estimated annual production of 537 GWh – enough energy to supply more than 290 thousand homes per year. The structure will have 391.680 photovoltaic modules, distributed over an area of 460 hectares, the equivalent of 644 football fields.
The project represents an investment of R$800 million and is expected to generate between 800 and 1.000 direct and indirect jobs throughout construction. The centralized generation plant is expected to begin commercial operations in the first quarter of 2026.
The resources for the project will be financed by Banco do Nordeste (BNB), which will be responsible for 80% of the total investment. Furthermore, the project has strategic partnerships with companies such as Goener and WEG.
The launch of the complex took place last Friday (07), with the presence of the superintendent of BNB (Banco do Nordeste), Eliane Brasil; the executive superintendent of Bradesco Large Corporate, Sarah Camarotti; and the energy consultant of Fiec, Jurandir Picanço, local authorities and the CEO of Kroma Energia, Rodrigo Mello.
