Chinese manufacturer DAH Solar confirmed on Monday (30) that there may have been a mistake in the labeling of solar panels sent to Brazil, due to a mistake by the OEM supplier. According to the company, there is a possibility that TOPCon technology modules were identified and shipped as if they were HJT (Heterojunction Technology).

The company reported that it is investigating the suspicion and has already initiated measures to track the potentially involved batches. According to an internal statement obtained by Canal Solar, DAH's parent company in China and its subsidiary in Brazil are working together on the issue.

As an immediate response, DAH headquarters in China has determined that all materials currently in transit will be redirected to a bonded zone, from where they will be re-destined early next week. In addition, the product registration with the INMETRO was deactivated after a request from the manufacturer's legal representative in Brazil. According to the company, the measure was taken as a preventive measure to avoid the sale of potentially affected batches.

Traceability

The company stressed that its parent company is conducting a detailed traceability process to identify the exact batches that may contain the alleged labeling error. According to the statement, the priority is to prevent these modules from entering the market and ensure that customers are not harmed.

Commitment to corrections

Although there is no official statement published yet, the manufacturer said that a formal communication will be sent by email to its customers, detailing the measures in progress. In the preliminary report, the dah states that it remains committed to transparency and the technical quality of its products.

O Canal Solar follows the development of the case and will update this report as soon as the company releases an official statement.
