A survey released by Solfácil this week revealed that 70% of solar system expansions in Brazil are carried out by professionals other than those who carried out the original installation. The data highlights a weakness in the after-sales service and in the long-term relationship between integrators and customers.
The study, which interviewed 187 partner companies, also shows that 12% of current sales already correspond to the expansion or installation of second solar systems. Despite this, 32% of integrators pointed to the lack of credit options as the main barrier to expanding sales in this segment.
The expansion is directly linked to the increase in energy consumption in homes, driven mainly by the installation of air conditioning units (45%) and the acquisition of electric vehicles (7%). To give you an idea, the air conditioning market grew almost 33% in 2024, according to ABRAVA, while sales of electric cars increased 89%, according to data from ABVE.
“As more Brazilians electrify their homes, it is natural that they will increase their solar capacity to offset the higher energy consumption,” says Brian Korgaonkar, CPO of Solfácil.

New financing line aims to expand systems
Keeping an eye on this movement, the Soleasy reported that it has launched a new line of financing specifically for expanding solar systems or installing second systems, even if the first project was not financed by the company itself.
The proposal seeks to help integrators reactivate relationships with former customers through after-sales service, offering not only expansions, but also solutions such as storage in Batteries e hybrid systems.
To access this new feature, Solfácil explains that the integrator must send a new financing request to the customer through the company's platform. The process is the same as for a financing analysis.
