One of the Explosão in a electrical power substation of chef (São Francisco Hydroelectric Company) caused a blackout in several neighborhoods of Metropolitan Region of Recife (PE), on the morning of this Monday (21).

The incident happened around 11:15 am, at Mirueira II substation, in the municipality of Paulista (PE), causing water shortages in homes, businesses and traffic lights on some local avenues. At least two malls in the region were also affected.

A Eletrobras informed that three company professionals are injured, but are doing well. The company also said it is investigating the causes of the incident.

Already Neoenergia Pernambuco reported that interruption in the supply of electrical energy has no relation to the company's distribution network.

The electricity concessionaire also highlighted that it restored supply to its customers at 13:12 pm, after the Chesf system returned to normal.
