GreenYellow, an energy generator and trader operating in energy efficiency and electric mobility, announced this Thursday (23) that intends to invest R$500 million in Brazil in 2023.

The resources will be invested in new distributed and centralized solar generation plants, in addition to new business fronts linked to electric mobility.

A The company currently has 110 MWp of installed capacity and is evaluating a portfolio of 450 MWp in distributed generation projects falling within the old rule (before 14.300/22).

According to Marcelo Xavier, CEO of GreenYellow do Brasil, of the 450 MWp, at least 140 MWp should be built by the end of 2024. “We connected 24 MWp in 2022 and we plan to connect 60 MWp in 2023... We have another portfolio of contracts that could take the company to reach 250 MWp in 2024”.

In addition to GD, the company is building a 140 MW project for self-production (centralized generation), in Goiás, expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2024.

To achieve all this, the company relies on three sources of financing: equity, debt and M&A (purchase and sale) operations. “We have a very complete range of financing to ensure that we build these projects,” Xavier said at a press conference.

GrrenYellow had revenues of R$374 million in 2022, growth of 23% compared to 2021. Last year, the company raised R$63 million from BNDES and another R$66 million through the issuance of debentures.

In the area of electric mobility, the company intends to expand the charging model for charging drivers.
