In recent years, Brazil has stood out globally in distributed solar generation, driven by favorable regulations, abundant sunshine, and growing consumer demand for cheaper energy.
Residential solar systems have become increasingly sophisticated, with Brazilian homeowners and installers prioritizing not only efficiency, but also safety, smart monitoring, ease of installation, and regulatory compliance.
In this scenario, microinverters are gaining popularity for their ability to maximize production and simplify system design. Responding to these market trends, Growatt introduces the NEO 2250-2500M-X2, a next-generation microinverter developed specifically for the needs of the Brazilian market.
Designed for residential photovoltaic systems, this single-phase device delivers output power between 2250 W and 2500 W and features four independent MPPTs. This allows for optimized power generation from each solar panel—even under partial shade—making it ideal for urban rooftops with varying sun exposures.
High performance and reliability
The NEO 2250-2500M-X2 supports an input current of up to 18A per PV string module, making it compatible with high-power modules. With a maximum efficiency of 96,5%, the microinverter ensures greater power generation. Furthermore, it features Type III SPD protection on the AC side and an IP67 rating, ensuring resistance to adverse weather conditions—from coastal humidity to intense inland heat.
Designed for rapid compliance
Brazilian installers know that regulatory hurdles can delay projects and increase costs. That's why the NEO 2250M-X2 and NEO 2500M-X2 models are already certified by INMETRO (National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology) and are in full compliance with the ABNT NBR 17.193, including the 60V DC input voltage limit.
The NEO 2500M-X2 model is also compatible with the “fast track” approval process of Normative Resolution ANEEL # 1.098 / 2024: with just three units, it is possible to assemble systems of up to 7,5 kW, simplifying the project and accelerating connection to the grid.
Intelligent monitoring and simplified management
Meeting the growing demand for digital solutions in the solar industry, the NEO series offers module-level monitoring, allowing users and installers to track the performance of each panel in real time. Remote operation and maintenance also facilitate system management—a particularly valuable feature for the growing fleet of rooftop installations spread across urban and rural areas in Brazil.
Growatt's vision for Brazil
Already recognized as a global leader in residential inverters, Growatt sees Brazil as one of its most strategic markets in Latin America. With the NEO 2250-2500M-X2, the company is not only bringing cutting-edge technology to local installers but also aligning itself with Brazil's transition toward a smarter, more resilient, and decentralized energy model.
Backed by strong local partnerships, a growing support infrastructure, and a vision focused on promoting clean energy, Growatt aims to play a key role in making solar energy more accessible, reliable, and smart for all Brazilians.
