A recently installed photovoltaic project in Mirassolândia (SP) has attracted attention due to its strategic application of energy storage on rural properties with continuous load. In the city of São Paulo, the Ovos da Terra farm has started operating with a hybrid system that combines photovoltaic solar generation and lithium batteries, with a focus on energy stability and reducing operating costs.

Implemented in April 2025, the system was designed with 210,6 kWp of photovoltaic power and 208,8 kWh of storage capacity, totaling 458,4 kW of installed power. The plant is composed of 360 585 W modules from the manufacturer Leapton, distributed across six poultry house roofs, and connected to 18 7,5 kW hybrid inverters from FoxESS.

The equipment was purchased by the integrator from the distributor BelEnergy, a company belonging to the Belenus Group, which has been operating in various segments for over 40 years. The “grid zero” solution was adopted due to the unavailability of the local grid to absorb surpluses, with the aim of continuously meeting the consumption of poultry farms, whose load needs to remain stable 24 hours a day.

Carlos Alberto Parolari, partner and owner of Luz Sol Energia Solar – the company responsible for the implementation – explains that the system was designed to directly power the loads during the day and use the batteries during the
night.

“The client wanted to reduce electricity consumption. So we suggested a storage system grid zero, as consumption was much higher than the generation of the on-grid system already installed, and the network could no longer support energy injection”, he commented.
