TOP 3: Trends in the solar panel industry

A solar energy has been gaining more and more space in Brazil's energy matrix, which, following the global trend, is contributing to solar energy becoming the largest source of energy in the world in 2027. 

According to data released by the ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy), by the end of 2024 the Brazil tends to occupy the 8th position in the world ranking of countries in terms of the amount of solar energy installed. 

Already in Europe, the installed capacity of solar photovoltaic energy is on track to increase to 475 GW by 2030, which represents more than double the 221 GW currently installed. 

O The Caribbean is also moving towards energy transition: with high sunlight irradiation all year round, the region is perfectly positioned to utilize solar energy. 

Being attentive and keeping an eye on what is happening in the world and what the market expects is essential for the sector to grow, ensuring that technological innovations continue to drive solar energy. 

To this end, it is essential to recognize that the continued advancement of serious, quality solar energy depends directly on investment in research and development of innovative technologies by manufacturers: in a market where efficiency is a priority, along with attractive differentials, companies that invest in technological innovation and quality stand out and prosper in the global market.

In this sense, with the main energy sector fairs finalized for the year 2024 and despite technologies such as perovskite having been presented at the major sector fairs, for 2025 and 2026 in terms of photovoltaic module technology, there will be the consolidation of TopCon N-Type technology in modules sold on the national market, which has greater efficiency as a differential due to its better electrical conduction capacity, since they present less initial degradation and are less susceptible to the PID effect. 

Hybrid cell generates electricity and stores thermal energy

As regards power of photovoltaic modules, the models above 600W will dominate the market, mainly to meet the demand of commercial and industrial projects that, for the most part, have a larger area available for installation of photovoltaic panels.

Another trend is that most qualified photovoltaic modules will be available on the Brazilian market, since, following the new INMETRO provisions regarding the parameters for photovoltaic modules, distributors are carrying out technical inspections more frequently at manufacturers' headquarters, strengthening relationships and ensuring the supply of products that meet the provisions of the regulations. 

Furthermore, I see a market movement in relation to equipment testing carried out in the distributors' own internal laboratoriess, reflecting the more in-depth technical knowledge that companies have acquired and even used as a differential. 

Becoming a company/brand recognized for the quality of its products, services and excellent customer service is a reflection of a work carried out over the years and which involves constant and in-depth study in various areas, such as local legislation, logistics, market, marketing, environment, as well as, of course, research and development of materials and production processes, among others. 

For the launch of new products, for example, research begins many years in advance and for the production itself, there is the involvement of a great deal of planning and programming/machinery setup in 100% automated production. 

It's a long road until the products reach our homes and fortunately, We are moving towards a high quality market in Brazil.
