Updating and expanding knowledge in new markets and business models. This is the goal of Intersolar Europe, which will take place from June 19 to 21 in Munich, Germany.
According to ©Solar Promotion GmbH, the event organizer, around 1.500 exhibitors will present their latest products and solutions in ten exhibition halls and an outdoor area.
“The global deployment of photovoltaics is currently experiencing a tremendous boost. Thanks to the steady decline in prices, solar is now the most cost-effective form of power generation,” they highlighted.
“In 2022, global installed PV capacity surpassed the 1 TW mark. If annual growth continues at a rate of at least 20%, 1 TW of new capacity is expected to be installed each year until 2028,” Solar Promotion highlighted.
Conferences
The event will also feature conferences on June 18th and 19th, which will address the latest market developments, trends and business models. The opening ceremony will be hosted by European industry association SolarPower Europe, which will exclusively present its annual Global Market Outlook for Solar Power 2024–2028 report.
The focus of this year's conference will also be on the planning, construction and operation of large-scale power plants, hybrid solutions, off-grid systems and floating power plants.
At parallel conferences – ees Europe Conference, Power2Drive Europe Conference and EM-Power Europe Conference – visitors to the Intersolar Europe Conference will also have the opportunity to learn more about storage systems, charging infrastructure, electromobility, networking and energy management.
A highlight for all visitors will be the public presentation ceremony of The smarter E AWARD in five award categories (Photovoltaics, Energy Storage, E-Mobility, Smart Integrated Energy and Outstanding Projects) on June 18, at 18:15 pm, at the International Congress Center Messe München (ICM).
Intersolar Forum and PV Manufacturing Stage
According to ©Solar Promotion GmbH, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about photovoltaic market trends first-hand at the Intersolar Forum (hall A3, stand A3.150).
In addition, the fair will provide a space for experts to present the latest technologies in the production of wafers, cells and modules and innovative characterization methods, as well as current approaches and progress in research and development.
“The PV Manufacturing Stage program (hall A2, stand A2.409) will be organized by our partner German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA),” they explained.
Solar energy and agriculture
Among the highlights of the event is an external area that will have an exhibition dedicated to applications that integrate solar energy and agriculture. Furthermore, more than 60 exhibitors will present their products and agrovoltaic solutions in the exhibition halls.
