Overview

The new inverters in the HT1500V line (225/250 kW) present a series of features that make them the best choice for large centralized plants, enabling an excellent return on investment, with a set of features that includes an integrated recovery system PID effect, important to minimize the degradation of photovoltaic modules throughout the useful life of the solar plant.

The GW225KN-HT and GW250KN-HT models have an exclusive and intelligent interruption mechanism to protect strings against short circuits and reverse current, preventing loss of generation in these situations. Individual string monitoring makes it possible to identify faults, such as damaged cables, obstructed panels and other problems that may be encountered.

Inverters can receive remote updates and configurations, reducing the need for site visits, reducing O&M costs. Furthermore, the inverters have a PLC 2.0 connection and are prepared to receive 300 mm² aluminum cables at the AC inputs. The equipment has an IP66 and C5 degree of protection and is equipped with type II surge protectors (DPS), on the DC and AC sides.

DC input

With an operating range of 500 V to 1500 V at the input, the inverters provide the use of long strings, which reduce the cost of cables and connections in photovoltaic plants.

The GW225K-HT and GW250K-HT models have 12 MPPT inputs and have a capacity of 30 A per MPPT, with inputs for 2 strings – 15 A per string. The string-supported short-circuit current is 25 A, which makes the inverter compatible with new high-power modules that are hitting the market.

The GW225KN-HT and GW250KN-HT models have 6 MPPT inputs and have a capacity of 60 A per MPPT, with inputs for 3 strings – 20 A per string. The short-circuit current supported by string is 30 A, which indicates that the equipment is suitable for use with high-power bifacial modules, with which high values of short-circuit currents can be encountered.

AC Output

The inverters have a nominal voltage of 800 V at the alternating current output. The connection is made using three conductors and a protective (grounding) conductor. Maximum output current is 178,7 A on 225 kW models and 180,5 A on 250 kW models.

Efficiency

The equipment has a maximum efficiency of 99% and European efficiency between 98,5% and 98,7%, depending on the model.
