The ONS (National System Operator), through the PMO Bulletin (Monthly Operation Program), projects that the energy load in the SIN (National Interconnected System) and in three subsystems should reach 77.432 MWmed for the week of August 31 and September 6. The expectation is that there will be an increase of 0,3%.
See what the load scenario is for each submarket:
- North: 8.149 MWmed (5,9%)
- Northeast: 13.246 MWmed (4,7%)
- South: 13.051 MWmed (3,3%)
- Southeast/Central-West 42.986 MWmed (2,8%)
The submarket with the greatest expected acceleration is the North. On the other hand, the Southeast/Central-West is the only subsystem with the possibility of a reduction in cargo demand compared to the same period in 2023.
Stored Energy
According to the ONS, the outlook for EAR (Stored Energy) on September 30 is that two subsystems will have levels above 50%: the North (74,9%) and the Northeast (51,4%).
The estimated percentages of the same indicator for the South and Southeast/Central-West were 49,3% and 48%, respectively.
“Reservoir levels are within the range of normal dry weather,” said ONS.
Affluent Natural Energy
As for ENA (Influent Natural Energy), the tendency is to remain below the MLT (Long Term Average), as no subsystem should exceed 50% of the MLT.
The Southeast and Central-West should receive the largest percentage (50% of the MLT). Estimates for the North are 47%, in the Northeast they are 44% and in the South 42%.
According to the ONS, the below-average inflow has been a point of attention since December 2023. However, it is worth highlighting that the SIN has sufficient resources to meet society's load and power demands.
