The ONS (National Electric System Operator) reported that it registered this Tuesday (11) another record of instantaneous load in without (National Interconnected System).

At around 14:37 pm, preliminary figures collected by the entity indicated that demand reached the historic mark of 103.335 MW – an indicator that surpasses the previous record of 102.810 MW, registered on January 22 of this year.

According to Marcio Rea, general director of ONS, the new level reflects the robustness of SIN, its capacity to fully meet society's energy demands and the diversification of energy resources available in the national system.

In addition to the record recorded in the SIN, the southern region of the country also recorded a new peak in instantaneous demand last Monday (10), reaching 21.950 MW.

According to the ONS, weather conditions were a determining factor in these records, with high temperatures increasing energy consumption in several regions of the country.
