Órigo Energia, which operates in the distributed generation sector in Brazil, and Pacto Energia, a company of the Pacto Group that supports customers in managing energy consumption, announced a partnership to expand companies' access to the Free Energy Market.
The partnership, which came into effect this December, aims to offer a management service for this new market, including negotiation, contracting and administration of renewable energy contracts.
The initiative is valid for both companies that already operate on Mercado Livre and those that wish to make this migration, as explained by Rodolfo Molinari, Chief Business Officer, from Origo Energia.
“With the high demand for sustainable and efficient energy solutions, the partnership with Pacto Energia aims to serve a specific audience of companies that face high energy costs and seek the Free Energy Market as a way to reduce their expenses”, highlights the executive.
According to data from ABRACEEL (Brazilian Association of Energy Traders), more than 22,2 thousand companies joined the free market this year – an increase of 58% compared to 2023. By the end of 2025, other 36 thousand companies should coinclude migration.
Of these consumers, around 34 are small and medium-sized companies, such as gyms, supermarkets, stores and pharmacies. “The partnership will seek to strategically meet the needs of companies seeking more affordable and sustainable energy solutions,” says Rodrigo Pedroso, Chief Executive Officer of Pacto Energia.
