A 7,2 MW photovoltaic power plant installed on the roof of a factory in China is capable of generating approximately 7,23 million kWh per year, preventing the emission of about 5.900 tons of CO₂ annually.
This structure is part of Osda's new smart manufacturing base in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, which officially began operations this year.
In addition to generating its own energy, the unit uses an intelligent energy management system to monitor and optimize energy generation, storage, and consumption in real time, reinforcing the company's strategy focused on sustainable manufacturing.
The new factory is part of Osda's transformation, which seeks to move beyond simply supplying photovoltaic modules and establish itself as a provider of integrated energy solutions, strengthening its presence in Brazil and other international markets.
Strategic location strengthens logistics for Brazil.
Located in Haiyan County, Jiaxing, the factory is situated in one of China's main logistics corridors, with access to the Port of Shanghai via an integrated maritime and river transport system.
According to the company, the infrastructure allows it to serve nearly 100 ports in more than 40 countries and regions, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
The new unit occupies an area of 107 square meters and brings together three production lines: high-efficiency photovoltaic modules, with a capacity of 6 GW; inverters, with 3 GW; and energy storage systems, with 3 GWh.
For the Brazilian market, the location is considered strategic to reduce delivery times and support the expansion of the manufacturer's portfolio in the country.
“For Latin America, this transformation comes at a strategic moment: with a much more robust portfolio and logistics closer to the Port of Shanghai, reducing delivery times, we are better prepared than ever to keep pace with the growth of the energy transition in the region,” he stated. Felipe Santos, LATAM Director at OSDA Solar.
Rodrigo Sobreira, Technical Support Manager at OSDA Solar in Brazil, explains that the expansion of production capacity also accompanies the arrival of new equipment in Brazil.
“We are launching a new family of inverters on the Brazilian market, with equipment suitable for various applications, ranging from isolated systems with off-grid inverters, residential and commercial systems with hybrid inverters, BESS for C&I projects, and lithium batteries with fire-resistant design,” he emphasized.
According to the manufacturer, the equipment intended for the Brazilian market was developed considering the different conditions found in the country, such as environments with high humidity and temperature, as well as installations in coastal regions.
Among the features present in hybrid inverters is AC coupling, which makes it possible to integrate storage into on-grid photovoltaic systems that are already in operation, without the need to replace the entire existing infrastructure.
Given Brazil's continental size, Sobreira also comments that equipment with robust hardware was developed, capable of operating in humid environments, high ambient temperatures, and coastal regions.
“In the context of hybrid inverters, we offer the feature of AC coupling, allowing the integration of the inverter with operating on-grid systems, thus reducing the financial investment in system expansions focused on energy storage and energy autonomy,” he added.
In the storage area, the factory also has semi-automated lines for the production of inverters and battery packs, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. According to the company, the structure expands production capacity and reinforces its ability to meet international demand, including the Brazilian market.

The unit focuses on R&D activities.
In addition to production, the factory also houses the company's main R&D (Research and Development) center for N-Type modules and energy storage systems.
The unit also has laboratories and testing centers focused on increasing the efficiency of the modules, improving the safety of storage systems, and developing algorithms for intelligent energy management.
According to the company, the activities are developed in partnership with universities, research institutes, and a postdoctoral platform, focusing on technological evolution and the development of solutions for clients in Brazil and other markets.
“This unit symbolizes the evolution of our business model: with the arrival of hybrid inverters and storage systems under the Austa brand, we have united generation, conversion, and energy storage in a single complex, supported by an R&D center dedicated to N-type modules and intelligent energy management. We have gone from being just a supplier of a product to consolidating ourselves as a one-stop-solution provider, capable of delivering end-to-end integrated energy solutions,” Santos pointed out.

Osda/Disclosure
With the start of operations at the Jiaxing plant, Osda integrates its production structure with existing factories in Ningbo, Linyi, and Yancheng, forming a vertically integrated network that brings together photovoltaic modules, inverters, and energy storage systems.
For the company, the strategy marks the transition from a model focused on selling products to one based on complete solutions, involving generation, storage, and intelligent energy management.
For the Brazilian and Latin American markets, the expectation is to offer faster response times, more competitive solutions, and technologies focused on advancing the energy transition and developing a low-carbon energy matrix.
