Photovoltaic solutions manufacturer Weidmuller received the German Design Award Gold for the development of the String Box PV Next, a model expected to arrive in Brazil in April 2023.

According to the technical jury, the model stood out for not having any cable connections and for no connection requiring long-term torque review as it uses push-in technology.

“PV Next offers a technically intelligent solution that not only reduces cabling by almost half, but also protects the system against overvoltages”, commented the jury.

“In addition, the modular design concept provides a high degree of flexibility. At the same time, the design allows for convenient installation, maintenance and monitoring. It is an impressive combination of high technology and good design culture down to the last detail”, he added.

“Weidmüller Conexel is bringing the revolutionary model to the Brazilian market, adapting it to local applications. PV Next promises to promote connection solutions that reduce the risks of connection failures and electric arc generation”, commented the company in a note.
