Campo Grande (MS) will be the stage for the 15th edition of the GD Forum - Central-West Region (Regional Distributed Generation Forum in the Central-West region), the event aims to evaluate the high levels of installed power in the last year in the Central-West region – which encompasses the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso and the Federal District.

The GD Forum will be held on the 09th, 10th and 11th of August, at Espaço Madame Dora, Caiçara neighborhood. And it will take place in a hybrid format, that is, participants will be able to follow the lectures in the physical space or in real time via the internet and exclusive platform.

To answer questions for integrators and for those who want to enter this area, the GD Forum will feature experts and players in the area who are able to answer questions and discuss the photovoltaic market.

“The event will have the participation of the main players, sector experts and Academy Representatives. We will discuss the main challenges and opportunities that we will have for the Photovoltaic Solar Energy and DG Renewable Sources sector”, stated the organization.

The event was organized by the FRG Mídias e Eventos Group, and promoted by ABGD (Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation). In the space, the public will find panels that will address topics such as business opportunities for integrators, the importance of safety in photovoltaic plants, the current situation and expectations for the future of the mid-west business market.

According to ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) the Central-West region currently has more than 1,6 MW in installed capacity. And according to information provided by the Government, between December 2021 and March 2022 the demand for photovoltaic panels grew 25% in the region and the estimate is that this number should double by 2023.

“The expectation is for the sector to grow in the central west region, especially in Mato Grosso do Sul, with an increase of up to 30% in sales of photovoltaic solar plants, after the passing of the GD forum,” said Tiago Fraga, CEO of FRG Media & Events Group.

And according to Thiago Fraga, the expectation is to have two thousand participants during the event, and should bring together more than 10 countries and a large part of the distributed generation and national solar energy sector.
