The shows on the "Sorriso Maroto – As Antigas" tour will now have their carbon emissions offset, an initiative aimed at reducing the environmental impact of the group's performances. The initiative will be 100% carbon neutral, in partnership with Serena, a company specializing in event decarbonization.

Compensation includes the calculation and neutralization of emissions generated by energy consumption, public transportation, staff and equipment, as well as assembly logistics.

The next shows covered by the action will take place in Porto Alegre (RS), Florianópolis (SC), Campinas (SP), Salvador (BA), Recife (PE), Brasília (DF) and Rio de Janeiro (RJ), between November 21st and 24th.

Each performance is estimated to attract between 15 and 35 people. Bruno Cardoso, the group's lead singer, explains that the decision reinforces the band's commitment to environmental responsibility.

“Ending this tour with a look at the impact we have on the world is very symbolic for the band,” said the musician.

A Serena, has already worked on decarbonizing events such as VTEX DAY and large corporate meetings. According to the company, the goal is to demonstrate that mass entertainment can go hand in hand with sustainable practices.

“By making a tour of this magnitude carbon neutral, we’re demonstrating that it’s possible to thrill crowds without leaving a footprint on the planet,” said Cicero Lima, Serena’s Director of Sales, Growth and Marketing.
