When we use electronic equipment and information technologies that are available on the market, we often do not realize the development processes that were and are being carried out to obtain what we have today, whether on a cell phone or on the internet itself that you are using. using now.

In fact, who doesn't remember cell phones that only made calls and dial-up internet that took minutes, or even hours, to load a website page?

As technological advances occur, what reaches the end consumer is more practical, functional and intelligent equipment. The same occurs in the area of renewable energy – in our case, solar.

Fixing structures

Fixing structures or support structures, in accordance with the definition of the standard NBR 16690 – Electrical installations of photovoltaic arrays – Project requirements, can be applied to different types of surfaces, such as the ground, roofs or water (in so-called floating plants).

When a photovoltaic solar energy system is run on the ground and without solar trackers, the fixing structure normally consists of the following items:

  • Portico
  • Scissors
  • French hand
  • Tuesday
  • Clamps
  • Screw/nut for fixing

To optimize costs and facilitate assembly, the ARaymond developed the PowAR Slot clamping clip for photovoltaic modules with frames.

This technology eliminates the need for screws and nuts, enabling quick installation without the need for specific tools, such as a screwdriver to adjust the torque, simply by fitting the photovoltaic module to the PowAR Slot fixing clip.

Below we can see the PowAR Slot fixing clip already located in the structure, ready to fit the photovoltaic module.

Another advantage of the PowAR Slot fixing clamp is that it already guarantees the grounding of the photovoltaic modules, since when fitting the photovoltaic module to the PowAR Slot clamp, the anodizing layer is broken, with the clamp directly in contact with the aluminum, making a 2 in 1 option.

In addition to the advantages already mentioned, PowAR Slot also has a low maintenance rate, as it eliminates the need for torque and reduces the risk of damage caused to the cells of the photovoltaic modules, thus avoiding possible hot spots (hotspots). The system is easy to assemble and disassemble and is certified by SERMA TECHNOLOGIES in accordance with the IEC 61215 – 2016 standard.
