The Mendes Group announced the acquisition of 18 solar power plants belonging to Navi Capital, a management company with approximately R$7 billion in assets under management. The projects are part of the Navi Energias Sustentáveis FIP-IE I and II investment funds.

With a total installed capacity of 65 MWp, the photovoltaic systems are distributed across 17 cities in the states of São Paulo, Goiás, and Rio de Janeiro. According to estimates, the transaction value is around R$390 million.

The acquisition reinforces the company's interest in the renewable energy sector and marks a strategic move to expand its presence in distributed generation.

Mendes Group targets 300 MWp

During the COVID-19 pandemic, with hotels and shopping malls temporarily closed due to restrictions, the Mendes Group—a traditional developer in Baixada Santista—decided to diversify its business. It was in this context that the company chose to invest in the energy sector.

This decision gave rise to Ineer Energia, which already operated with 170 MWp of installed capacity prior to the acquisition of Navi's assets. With the new acquisition, the group's portfolio now stands at 235 MWp, and the goal is to reach 300 MWp by 2026.
