ANEEL and distributors create task force for 2nd round of elections in SP

The São Paulo agency and concessionaires defined measures that will be taken to guarantee the energy supply during the elections

ANEEL and SP distributors create task force for 2nd round of elections

A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) held, this Thursday (24), a meeting with representatives of the energy distributors de São Paulo and other authorities to level the measures that will be taken to face the rains and gusts of wind that were scheduled to happen between yesterday and today. 

During the meeting, the following were also presented: measures to be adopted during the second round of elections, which will take place on Sunday (27) in 18 cities in São Paulo. 

In addition to dealerships, also participated in the meeting professionals of arsesp (Regulatory Agency for Public Services of the State of São Paulo), Civil defense and state meteorological department. 

O general director of ANEEL, Sandoval Feitosa, began the meeting by highlighting that both the climate events and elections require coordinated work of all entities in the electricity sector. 

The executive reiterated that the climate has changed, the contingencies have too and that a collective effort by everyone to avoid harm to the population. The meeting was held remotely with technical teams in Brasília (DF) and São Paulo (SP). 

A ANEEL and Arsesp sent a letter asking distributors to avoid scheduled shutdowns, maneuvers and other operations during the period.

We also pack any An information channel has been established to ensure agile communication with all distributors. A team associated with ANEEL will be at the integrated center on election day and other teams will be deployed to monitor the entire electoral process.

CPFL Group 

  • Full-time company representatives in the crisis office at the operations center;

  • Municipalities in the concession area where the second round will take place have already been mapped and teams will be on standby to respond to any emergency. 

EDP 

  • Company canceled scheduled shutdowns and other maneuvers during the period;
  • A direct communication channel was created with entities in the electricity sector, public bodies, the press and society, in addition to a situational committee structure;
  • Teams will be sent to the municipalities where there will be a second round. 

Neoenergia Elektro

  • The company will have a direct communication channel with entities in the electricity sector, public bodies, the press and society;
  • Municipalities with a second shift will have the company's operational bases;
  • Telephone available to public bodies;
  • Team preparation work. 

Enel São Paulo 

  • Crisis rooms were set up; 
  • Team working together with the City Hall to act in the event of a fallen tree;
  • External field teams were mobilized;
  • Internal customer service teams on standby;
  • Generator allocation for election day;
  • Canal communication with entities in the electricity sector, public bodies, the press and society;
  • They asked for help from the structure of other distributors, if necessary, and also made themselves available to assist dealerships if necessary. 

ESS (Energisa South Southeast) 

  • There are no municipalities with a second round, but a team will be mobilized and a crisis room has been set up for any adverse weather event;
  • Canal of communication with entities in the electricity sector, public bodies, the press and society was organized.
