The GSM 6250D-MV turnkey station is a complete solution for centralized generation plants, built into a 40-foot container with all necessary components already integrated, including two GSM 3125D central inverters, a 6,25 MVA oil transformer, devices protection and measurement system, ventilation system and communication module, among other things.

The advantage of this type of solution is that all the necessary components are already assembled and pre-configured at the factory, the AC output of the inverter is already directly connected to the low voltage side of the transformer by a copper bus and the medium voltage side of the The transformer is already connected to the measurement and protection systems, without the need to make additional connections between the inverter and the transformer.

Simply the PV array must be connected to the DC input of the station and the output must be connected to the AC coupling point of the solar plant. It is a plug-and-play solution, easy to transport and simple to install, which reduces logistics, adaptation and installation costs.

The GSM6250D-MV station container has the standard size of a maritime transport container, made of special steel, with sheets measuring 1,5 mm thick on the sides and 2 mm on the top.

The container is around 3 to 8 times more resistant than conventional carbon steel containers, which guarantees long durability and immunity to aggressive environments, including the maritime environment during transport to the final destination.

The container coating has four layers, including an anti-rust coating, an epoxy middle layer and two outer layers of paint. All walls and the ceiling are also covered with 50 mm mineral wool for thermal insulation and fire protection.

The GSM3125D inverter used at the station has a maximum voltage of 1500 V on the DC side and was designed for outdoor operation, with IP 55 degree of protection. It is a low-cost inverter, which minimizes the LCOE of the solar plant, with nominal power 6,25 MW, two MPPT inputs, input operating range of 875 V to 1300 V and maximum efficiency of 99%. The equipment supports bifacial modules and a maximum DC/AC overload ratio of up to 1,8.

Its control system has active and reactive power control features, fast power response, night reactive power compensation function (SVG: static VAr generator), supports overvoltage and undervoltage (LVRT/HVRT: low/high voltage ride through) , and has an interface for BESS (battery energy storage system).

The inverter also has safety functions and reliability features such as degree of protection against corrosion C5 (according to ISO 12944), efficient thermal dissipation system, operation at nominal power at 50 ºC, anti-PID function, DC surge protectors and AC class II, reverse polarity protection, leakage current protection and low insulation detector.

The AC components have been specified to allow operation at 110% of rated power at a temperature of 45°C, which makes the station very suitable for operating in harsh conditions and hot climates with a long service life.
