BYD, one of the world's largest manufacturers of batteries and electric vehicles, provides lithium battery bank solutions for the energy storage market, with solutions for homes and commercial and industrial applications.

BYD's Battery-box Premium LVL line allows scalable use in systems from 15,5 kWh up to close to 1 MWh.

The product uses technology known as LFP (lithium, iron and phosphate), free of cobalt, which provides greater safety, longer useful life and greater power density.

Thanks to its control and communication unit (BMU – battery management unit), equipment in the Battery-Box Premium LVL line can be scaled to meet different project requirements, no matter how large they may be.

Users can also start with a Battery-Box Premium LVL15.4 unit (15,36 kWh) and later extend to up to 983 kWh using parallel interconnection of up to 64 batteries.

The acronym LVL (low voltage level) refers to the operating voltage range of the banks, which is from 40 V to 59 V, suitable for power systems that operate with a nominal voltage of 48 V.

To compensate for the low operating voltage, the bank offers a large current supply capacity, up to 250 A.

Compatibility

The Battery-BOX Premium LVL line is compatible with inverters from the following manufacturers: SMA, Victron, Selectronic, Studer, GoodWe and Schneider.

Main advantages

  • Expandable from 15,4 kWh up to 983 kWh
  • Compatible with single and three-phase inverters
  • LFP technology, cobalt-free
  • Maximum safety, long service life
  • Suitable for off-grid or high-power backup systems
  • Allows 2 modules to be stacked vertically, saving space
  • Allows easy expansion by adding modules in parallel

Technical characteristics

The table below refers to an LVL 15.4 unit, which can be parallelized in sets with up to 64 modules for a higher power system and greater storage capacity.
