Following the launch of the Huayu 4 MPPT HY-2000-Plus high-power microinverter, Huayu New Energy introduces to the market the upgraded versions HY-300/400/500-Pro and HY-300/400/500/600-ACM, compatible with high power solar panels (from 300 Wp to 750 Wp). According to the manufacturer, the equipment has a standard 25-year warranty.

The thinnest microinverter in the world, according to Huayu

Huayu advertises that the thickness of its microinverter is only 25mm and its product is the thinnest in the world compared to all other solar microinverters out there.

The weight of the HY-300/400/500-Plus is only 2,2 kg and it has 1,54 m AC cables and integrated AC connectors. In the design of a microinverter there is a great challenge in balancing the thickness of the equipment, its performance , its efficiency and heat dissipation.

A project with such a small thickness (just 25 mm) depends on great development expertise to obtain a reliable and robust product, suitable for various working conditions.

To achieve the extremely thin thickness of 25mm, Huayu R&D engineers selected specific components and design to enable the extremely small volume and ensure sufficient heat dissipation under ambient temperatures of up to 65°C and operating temperature of up to 85 °C, with an expected useful life of 25 years.

Ideal for AC PV modules

An AC module is a PV module that has a small DC-AC microinverter mounted on its back.

AC modules are defined by Underwriters Laboratories(UL) as the smallest and most complete solar energy capture system, as they already have all the necessary components for generating electrical energy, from the solar cell to the AC output connector, where energy can be immediately removed for integration into the electrical grid, without the need for other components (cables, protection devices, stringbox, etc.)

Due to this ease, microinverter systems can be installed in all types of locations, from traditional rooftop applications to architecturally integrated applications with non-traditional installation and orientation angles.

In partnership with Akcome, which provided aluminum framing for solar panels used at Apple Park, Huayu provided systems for the new Apple building, located in Cupertino, California, with an initial capacity of 6 GW and a planned capacity of 24 GW.

Assembly on the HY-300/400/500/600-Pro microinverter is already carried out at the AC module factory. The microinverter is fixed through 4 holes on both sides of the microinverter in addition to the top mounting plate for easy factory assembly and on-site installation.

The microinverter body design is extremely thin and flat, which allows sufficient space between the back of the solar panel and the microinverter, ensuring good ventilation, while the entire microinverter body remains within the limits of the structure. of the module, forming a single body, with the same dimensions as a traditional module, which facilitates transport and installation using traditional methods.
