A popular action filed by federal deputy Saullo Vianna (União Brasil-AM) requests the removal of three of the four directors of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency). The petition is addressed to the general director of the regulatory agency, Sandoval Feitosa, and to directors Fernando Monsa and Ricardo Tili.
The allegation is of “unjustified non-compliance” with measures that should be taken by regulators by law or public policy, including the implementation of the National Pole Sharing Policy.
Also mentioned is the approval of the new governance of the CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber), which exceeded the deadline without due compliance. Finally, the failure to comply with the legal action requested by Amazonas Distribuidora de Energia S/A, to guarantee the continuity of the provision of the service.
The action was filed with the TRF1 (Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region), and will be analyzed by the 1st Federal Civil Court of Amazonas.

The petition's grounds include statements and questions from the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira. Throughout the year, Silveira made several criticisms of the ANEEL, especially regarding the delay in voting and processes.
“It should be noted that the behavior of part of the Board, which has led to expressions of opposition from Ministers of State, reveals difficulties and/or resistance on the part of the Board in dealing with guidelines and decisions, whether governmental or judicial,” says the author of the petition.
Saullo Vianna requested a statement from the Public Prosecutor's Office, in addition to disciplinary proceedings by the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU) against Feitosa, Tili and Mosna. From the top of the ANEEL, only director Agnes da Costa is not mentioned for possible punishments.
The report by Canal Solar contacted the press office of ANEEL, but until the closing of this article there was no response.
