The energy load of the SIN (National Interconnected System) showed a growth of 4%, in August, compared to the same period in 2023, the registered value was 75.978 MWmed.
In the last 12 months, the expansion was 7,8%, compared to last year. This data is in the Monthly Load Bulletin produced by ONS (National Electric System Operator).
The same behavior of increase in load was recorded in the analysis by subsystem, recorded in all regions, when comparing the month of August this year with the previous one and also in the accumulated total for the last 12 months.
The increase in load, according to the Operator, can be attributed to the increase in temperature compared to the previous year. Another factor is that the month of August this year had 22 working days, one working day less than in 2023.
